How quickly can we go live?
Most practices are live within 5–7 business days of the onboarding call. Complex multi-site implementations may take up to 2 weeks.
Do we need new phone equipment?
No. You simply forward calls to your dedicated Vital Triage number. Your existing phones and phone system stay exactly as they are.
What happens if a patient has an emergency?
Our nurses are trained to recognize life-threatening symptoms and will instruct the patient to call 911 immediately. We also notify your on-call provider simultaneously.
Can nurses reach our on-call physician?
Yes. We configure your exact on-call escalation tree during onboarding — whether that's a single provider number or a rotating schedule.
Is Vital Triage HIPAA compliant?
Absolutely. We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every client and operate under full HIPAA compliance for all PHI handling.
What EHRs do you integrate with?
We support Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Cerner, NextGen, and others via HL7/FHIR. If you use a different system, ask us — we likely support it.
